In 2014, the Gay Games 9 came to Cleveland. My good friend Melanie Hudson and I both jumped at the idea of collaborating to celebrate such an amazing event. We wanted to create bags that spoke to the soul of the Games, that sense of inclusion for everyone. Melanie created two beautiful, hand lettered illustration. This tote is a reprint, on simple, natural canvas, of the gorgeous Love is Love design.
About the Design
My shopping totes are each printed and sewn from start to finish in my Cleveland studio. The tote’s exterior is a heavy weight canvas with visible texture and structured body and is lined with a durable, black cotton twill. Extra long straps and a fully lined interior make them more than just practical, they make them ready for years and years of carrying heavy loads. And best of all, each tote is 100% machine washable and dryer safe. Fill up your tote with the fresh veggies printed on it, or whatever you like best, but be ready for the compliments you'll be sure to receive!
